You've always known you were made for more, and that fire hasn't gone anywhere...

Only now, the inner game is clearly holding you back. We're not here to keep pushing on and pushing through (be honest, you're already doing that).

Over 6 months, we get to the root of what's blocking you from being the athlete you know you can be, and we go all in on reprogramming those old patterns.

Until you're not just performing better... but you finally feel free while doing it. The athlete you've always known you could be is in there, we just need to unlock it.

Shannon Malseed
Meet Shannon

Hey, I'm Shannon and I've sat exactly where you're sitting right now...

As a former pro cyclist and National Champion, I've been there. Pursuing the greatest version of myself whilst also doubting whether or not I'd ever really 'make it' to where I wanted to go.
The big goals I aspired to achieve were matched with my exceptionally high expectations and an inner critic that never backed down... always chasing, always pushing for that next win, another kilo shredded, another threshold cracked. It was never enough, because internally, I was never enough.

From the outside, it looked like I lived the life... at least the one I'd personally always dreamt of. But somehow, internally I felt like I was living inside a homemade prison and nobody ever showed me where to find the key... so I left the sport on my own terms in 2020 and started my journey of unlocking those mental barriers.

Since then I've worked with 100+ high performers. Olympians. Professionals. National Champions. World Champions... And many more incredible athletes. It's my number one mission in life to help elite athletes unlock the power of their mind, so they can live up to their greatest potential, AND feel internally free whilst doing so.

Your physical game isn't the problem your mental game is

Here's the missing link: you have BIG beautiful goals and enough self belief to know you're capable (100% cheering for you!), but on the other hand you're walking around doubting absolutely everything.
what if i pour my life into this pursuit of greatness and i don't make it?
what if i end up disappointing myself and everyone around me?
what if all of this fails, and i end up with nothing to show for it?
what if, in the end, i'm actually just not good enough?

You've got enough self awareness to KNOW that these are the exact inner limitations that get in the way of your true magnificence, and because of that, you're know your mental game needs an upgrade. The only problem is... you don't know how.
how do i get rid of the mental limits i put on myself?
how do i stop doubting myself and get the bloody heck out of my own way?
how do i trust my true potential and maintain consistent high performance, without the mental battles?
HOW do I break free from this internal prison and finally be free to BE the athlete, and the person I know I can be!!??

I'm so glad you're here. This is exactly what we do inside my 1:1 coaching.

What's involved

Everything you get inside 1:1

01

Deep dive sessions

1:1 on Zoom, weekly or fortnightly. No set curriculum, we go straight to what's live for you and get to the root of it. This is where the real shifts happen… the doubt that's followed you for years finally loses its grip, pressure starts to feel like fuel, and you walk onto the start line backing yourself.

02

Me, in your pocket

WhatsApp me the whole way through, voice notes or text. Before a race, after a rough session, at 10pm when the doubt creeps in… real support, in real time, on the days it actually matters.

03

Your toolkit for life

Every recording, all your notes and homework, a workbook built around your work, and a Champion Self meditation recorded just for you. Yours to keep, long after we finish.

The work

What the work looks like

Vision

We get clear on who you're becoming

Before we pull anything apart, we build your Champion Self. Not a goal sheet. The version of you, you've always known you can be. This is your BIG DREAMS mapped out as an identity, so we're clear on what we're working toward.

Blocks

We find what's really blocking it

The limiting beliefs getting in your way are deeper than you might think. We get to work on knowing everything about your inner limitations, so that we can identify when they're showing up, where they come from, and that's going to help us in the rewiring / reprogramming process.

Release

We clear the emotional charge

You can reframe your limiting beliefs all day, but until you release the real emotions that surround those beliefs, nothing changes. This part of our journey is also about building a high emotional IQ, so in future you're not suppressing your emotions, but instead you know how to process them in a safe and healthy way. Nothing is getting stored in the body, causing quiet underperformance.

Embody

We build the new beliefs

Then we rebuild. This is all about putting in the daily reps in order to level up the way you think, feel, and what you believe. Because nothing changes if nothing changes. In order to achieve the results you KNOW you're capable of, you have to BECOME that version of you, first.

Case studies

In their own words

Case study 01 · Ruth Edwards

Tour Down Under winner, National Champion, Olympian

Before our work together

“I didn’t have trust in myself. I was unsure of the path I was on and doubted whether I could actually achieve what I wanted.”

This showed up as:

  • feeling off before big training sessions or races
  • struggling to go all in
  • negative self talk during hard efforts
  • second-guessing her own process

We worked on

  • Rewiring the fear of failure that was pumping the brakes on her true potential.
  • Reducing her perfectionist + self critical lens.
  • Learning self compassion + self pride
  • Releasing stored emotion, processing heavy / hard emotions rather than avoiding or suppressing
  • Bringing back self belief, joy, and self celebration

What changed

“Instead of beating myself up, I learned how to slow down and listen to myself. I started building a better relationship with me.”

The results:

  • 3rd place at the TDFf (stg. 7)
  • Healed her relationship with body image, food, & the scales
  • Fell back in love with life, on & off the bike.

“Working with Shannon gave me tools to uncover what was going on underneath it all... Now I feel like I can actually back myself. I trust my decisions. I’m more present, more confident, and more free.”

Olympic Endurance Track Cyclist

Before our work together

“I do believe that I'm there physically, but there's self-sabotage, which comes from my mind… (e.g. you shouldn't follow that attack, you're not good enough).”

This showed up as:

  • second-guessing, perfectionism and overthinking in the days before racing
  • holding back from making courageous moves in case they failed
  • lining up at the biggest events unsure he belonged at the front

We worked on

  • Levelling up his identity and building a Champion Self to step into on race day
  • Seeing self-doubt as a protective mechanism, not the truth
  • Fear of failure as fear of a feeling, not the event itself
  • Visualising what he wants to feel on the start line
  • Zooming out to the long career, then zooming in to compete

What changed

“I was fully confident with it… how were we going to have a shot at winning or beating them if we didn't actually fight for it, you know?”

The results:

  • Multiple national titles and a continental title
  • Perfectionism became fearlessness: going all in, risking it to win it
  • Backing himself as an individual rider, not just part of the squad

“Lining up on the start line every single time with complete confidence that I'm here to win.”

Multiple World Champion, Commonwealth Games Gold Medallist

Before our work together

“I feel like I'm never quite doing the right thing, or enough… always falling short.”

This showed up as:

  • running on empty, believing she had to prove herself to be enough
  • not being able to say a goal out loud
  • fear of what everyone thinks
  • overwhelm, rest felt like failure

We worked on

  • Rewiring the “I have to prove myself to be enough” belief
  • Feeling and releasing emotion instead of armouring up
  • Nerves as excitement, pressure as people believing in her
  • A start-line routine: clear, calm, confident, here to have fun
  • Self-compassion first, always

What changed

“I love racing my bike and loving feeling so capable and strong. I don't feel out of my depths and really do feel like I belong.”

The results:

  • Multiple World Champion titles
  • Commonwealth Games Gold

“Thank you so much Shan, it's been incredible to have someone who feels big feelings like me, helps me to get out of my own way, and just gets me in so many ways.”

The free discovery call

Every 1:1 starts with a conversation. I only take a handful of athletes at a time, so I keep a small number of these open each week.

What it is
45min Zoom call. We talk through where you're at, what you're struggling with, and how I can help you. If we feel it's a great fit, I walk you through my 1:1 coaching options.
What you get
Clarity on what's been holding you back. Most athletes leave the call already seeing it differently, whether we work together or not.
What it isn't
If 1:1 isn't the right move for you, there's no obligation to continue.

A few quick questions first, then you pick a time.

How it works

The application process

1

You open up the application form

The free discovery call is by application only. When you click one of the links on this page, you'll be redirected to an application form. It takes about 5mins to fill out, and it gives me a good idea of where you're at before we jump on a call.

2

You pick a time

At the end of the application form, you can choose one of this week's open spots to schedule your free discovery call. If there are no opening spots, grab one for next week.

3

On the Discovery Call

We talk through where you're at, what's blocking you, I show you what I can see and feel straight off the bat, and if we're a great fit, I'll explain exactly how we'd work together and what it involves.

4

You choose

You get to pick what feels right for you, and then we lock in your first session.

Before you ask

The honest answers

Is the discovery call actually free?

Yes. It's how we find out whether I'm the right person for you, and vice versa.

Why aren't there prices on this page?

Because the right cadence depends on what's going on for you. I'd rather work that out with you than have you guess from a page. If it's a fit, I'll walk you through every option and the investment on the call, nothing hidden.

Do I have to be a pro athlete?

No. You have to be someone who takes their sport seriously and knows they've got more in them than they're getting out. I've worked with Olympians and I've worked with people three years into racing who train around a full-time job.

What if I'm mid-season, or travelling constantly?

Most of my clients are. We build the schedule around your racing and your camps, and we move sessions when we need to. Being mid-season is often the best time to do this, because the block is live and we're working with the real thing rather than a memory of it.

How is this different from a sports psych?

A psychologist is trained to assess and treat, and if something clinical is going on, I will refer you on.
Psychologists specialise in treating, I specialise in training your mental game… the self belief, the emotional fitness, the way you back yourself when it matters most, and the sneaky patterns hiding underneath how you perform.

I've stood in the national champion's jersey, and still battled my mind daily… I know that place from the inside, and i specialise in walking you out the other side.

What if this week's calls are full?

Book in for next week. New spots open every Monday.
